Still The Jukebox Junkie script written by Corey Frizzell

The upcoming docudrama Still The Jukebox Junkie, written by award-winning Nashville artist Corey Frizzell, is officially moving into production.


The film will follow the life and career of 90s country star Ken Mellons, exploring the highs, lows, and defining moments that shaped his journey in country music. Known for his traditional country sound and memorable hits, Mellons became a recognizable voice during the vibrant era of 1990s country.


Still The Jukebox Junkie will combine interviews, personal stories, and dramatic reenactments to give audiences a deeper look into Mellons’ rise in the music industry, the challenges he faced along the way, and the experiences that helped shape his legacy.


The project brings together musicians, friends, family members, and industry voices who were part of Mellons’ journey, offering a behind-the-scenes look at both the music and the man behind it.


As production begins, Still The Jukebox Junkie aims to capture not only Mellons’ impact on country music, but also the personal story that continues to resonate with fans and fellow artists alike.
