Jeff "Hoot" Gibson, original Jukebox Junkie, on set of Still The Jukebox Junkie

Jeff “Hoot” Gibson, an original member of the Jukebox Junkie band, recently took part in filming for the upcoming docudrama Still The Jukebox Junkie.

The project follows the life and career of 90s country star Ken Mellons, whose music helped leave a lasting mark on the traditional country sound of the decade. As a member of Mellons’ original band, Gibson was part of the group that helped bring the energy and spirit of the music to life on stage during Mellons’ early years on the road.

Gibson’s participation in the film adds an authentic perspective to Mellons’ story, offering insight from someone who experienced those moments firsthand. His memories and experiences help paint a fuller picture of the band, the music, and the journey behind the Jukebox Junkie era.

Still The Jukebox Junkie, writtien, directed and produced by Corey Frizzell, continues to bring together voices from Mellons’ career, celebrating the people and moments that helped shape his legacy in country music.
