Guitarist Jason Roller recently sat down to take part in filming for the upcoming docudrama Still The Jukebox Junkie, which follows the life and career of 90s country star Ken Mellons.


Roller has a unique connection to Mellons’ story. At just 16 years old, he was chosen by Mellons for his first touring gig as the band’s guitarist, giving him an early start performing on the road and gaining valuable experience in the country music world.


Today, Roller continues to make his mark in the industry. He can currently be found on the road playing with legendary country group Alabama and also serves as a staff guitarist for the Grand Ole Opry.


His perspective and memories help add depth to Still The Jukebox Junkie, offering insight into Mellons’ touring years and the musicians who were part of the journey. The film highlights the people and experiences that shaped Mellons’ career and lasting influence in country music.
