HonkyTonk Daycare Band is a young country music group from Nashville, Tennessee that officially formed in 2023. The band grew out of weekly afternoon jam sessions at the Music City Bar & Grill, where three Nashville kids — Kash Whitley Mellons (11), Caysen Hammonds (11), and Ryman Shafer Frizzell (7) now 14 and 10 years old — were raised around live music and traditional country sounds from an early age. Their natural affinity for performing led to their official debut at the 2023 Keith Whitley Tribute concert at the Nashville Palace, where they earned a standing ovation.
Soon after, the band began booking shows throughout the Nashville area, appearing at venues such as R.O.P.E. (Reunion of Professional Entertainers), The Station Inn, The Troubadour Nashville, the Tennessee State Fair, and the private memorial show for the late country star, Johnny Rodriquez, joining artists like, Jamie Johnson, David Frizzell, Tanya Tucker, Ben Haggard and Aubry Rodriquez.
15 year old, Chloe Penny, occasionally joins the boys for live performances. Known for their engaging live performances and youthful take on authentic country music, HonkyTonk Daycare Band continues to make appearances.
