Award Winning Visual Artist

Corey Frizzell Portrait of Keith Whitley

Corey Frizzell is a Nashville-based visual artist often referred to as “Nashville’s Artist to the Stars.” He comes from a storied musical family—the nephew of country music legends Lefty Frizzell and David Frizzell, however Frizzell’s early life included success outside the the family business: he was a Golden Gloves Boxing Champion and had small acting roles in productions such as Children of the Corn.

Over time, his lifelong passion for drawing and painting blossomed into an acclaimed career as a fine art portraitist and graphic artist. Since the mid-2000s, Frizzell has created custom portraits, concert posters, and graphics for some of country, bluegrass, gospel, and Americana music’s biggest names, including artists like George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Willie Nelson, Joe Diffie, Keith Whitley family, Don Mclean, and more.

Frizzell’s artwork has been exhibited and displayed in prestigious venues, such as the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame, Sun Records Museum, The Troubadour Nashville and the Nashville Palace, and he has been recognized with awards such as the AMG Heritage Visual Artist of the Year.
